As announced, the GPB team released the latest version 1.5 end of the summer, i.e. beginning of September. After the big performance round in V 1.4, this time the focus was again on new features and improvements.Next to improved UX\/GUI like less \u2018jumping\u2019 Gantt screen or better focus keeping when creating new tours, also functionality was enhanced; for instance, in the area of drag & drop: Tours can now also be moved amongst different resources (y-axle), not only on the time line (x-axle) and single orders or tour stops can be directly moved from one tour to another tour. Single assignment (tours) can still be manually prolonged by simple drag & drop, in both Gantt views (tours and resources). The dispatcher can\u00a0further directly modify driving time and\/or distance if needed.<\/p>\n

Further, the visibility of dates and times in the tour stop boxes was improved: Customer wishes, manually set ETAs, divergences etc. are now visible at one glance, and their behavior is possible to be parametrized. But also the type of the tour stop itself can now be better distinguished: simple waypoints (no orders) are visualized smaller than normal tour stops with orders.
\nMore logic was introduced in the process of quantity changes: new conflicts will indicate potential important changes within a transport order while it is already planned to a tour. An icon will alert directly in the Gantt and the dispatcher can additionally filter the concerned tours and accept\/handle such conflicts. This feature works as well for production and trading companies, which have as well (or even more) to manage potential quantity changes in the very beginning of the supply chain, on the sales order.
\nUser experience matters most to us and encourages us to constantly improve on this. E.g. more user specific filters and parameters allow a better and more individualized data pre-load experience, which has of course also very positive effects on performance.<\/p>\n

Again, over 50 improvements and bug fixes were included in this version, which are all described in our release letter. \u2013 What\u2019s next: After the core TMS functionality is already available as CTP on the latest version \u201cDynamics 365 for Finance & Operations, Enterprise edition\u201d, the GPB team is now working on upgrading also GPB to this new version, which is roughly expected end of this year.
